Right now different communities have different personal laws in India like The Hindu Marriage Act, Muslim Personal Law, and many others and the aim of UCC is to implement one set of personal laws for every citizen in the country. Although there are many impediments to implementing the UCC in India, because of the diverse array of personal laws that are present right now and the political nature of UCC, the pros easily outnumber the cons in favor of UCC.
